On June 25, 2026, Genovasi University College and AK Academy formally signed a cooperation agreement, marking the beginning of a deep strategic partnership in logistics and supply chain education that heralds a new chapter for higher vocational education in the Northern Region of Malaysia.

The signing ceremony, held today, officially designates AK Academy as the sole authorized centre for Genovasi UC in the Northern Region. Concurrently, AK Academy's Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Log. Ts. Dr. Chang Kah Loon, has been appointed as the Dean of Genovasi UC's School of Logistics & Supply Chain, where he will take on full responsibility for the school's academic development and administrative affairs.

The ceremony was attended by key dignitaries from both institutions, including Genovasi UC President Prof. Dr. James Nga, Managing Director Prof. Dr. Navin Nathan, Registrar Mr. Danny LIM, and Director of International Marketing Dr. Andrew Loo Yong Hing. Also present were AK Academy's Registrar Log. Ts. Amy Ooi Ai Mi and Board Member Ms. Debra Lynette Moreira.

This collaboration leverages the complementary strengths of both institutions. Genovasi UC, a higher education institution founded in 2017, is renowned for its Design Thinking–centric pedagogy, dedicated to nurturing innovative talent. AK Academy, with over a decade of deep expertise in logistics, supply chain, transportation, and business management, brings a wealth of industry experience and a team of professional educators.

Through this strategic alliance, Genovasi UC will expand its educational footprint in the Northern Region, while AK Academy, as the sole authorized centre, will offer students in Penang and surrounding areas more accessible pathways to higher education and specialized programmes. Dato' Log. Ts. Dr. Chang Kah Loon's concurrent role as a Dean is expected to facilitate the seamless integration of academic theory with industry practice, driving excellence in logistics and supply chain talent development.

Both parties expressed confidence that this partnership will effectively consolidate educational resources and industry networks, systematically cultivate logistics and supply chain professionals in Penang and across the Northern Region, and provide strong human capital support for regional economic growth.
