Overview:

Bachelor of Arts in Media Technology is one of our home-grown conventional program in Audio Visual and Media Production field of study. It encompasses various teaching and learning methods such as Lecture, Tutorial, Lab Practical, Project and Industrial Training. It is designed to provide learners an in-depth knowledge of Media Technology concepts, principles and technologies with required skills to work in Audio Visual and Media Production industry.

Student enrolled to this program will be able to enhance their career development as Advertising & Promotions Manager, Audio & Video Equipment Technician, Broadcast Technician, or Broadcast Engineer, Camera Operator, Desktop Publisher, Film & Video Editor, News Editor or Videographer, Graphic designer, Composer Design, etc. Upon completion of this program of study, graduates will be able demonstrate their ability to combine technical knowledge, critical thinking, digital, communication, analytical, and leadership skills to produce a personal achievement portfolio in the field worldwide.

Entry requirements

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of
    Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects; OR
  • A Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
  • A recognised Creative Multimedia Technology Diploma (Level 4, Malaysian Qualifications Framework [MQF]) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 (Candidate with CGPA between 2.00 and 2.50 may be admitted subject to internal assessment process); OR
  • A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval*; OR
  • A pass in DKM / DLKM / DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least
    have two (2) years working experience in a related discipline; OR
  • Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian
    Government. AND Pass an interview OR submission of student’s portfolio determined by the HEP as required.
