Message from the Associate Dean
We, at the School of Accounting & Finance will do our best to prepare students to be trained in their chosen field, ready for practice upon completion of our business courses. We seek out ideas using technology to focus on cultivating good learning attitude and to secure the necessary skills to advance their career, thus contributing to higher productivity and better economy for our country.
We are emphatically committed to recognise the urgent need for the employment market to address on chronic issues such as poor attitude amongst new graduates, poor command of the English language and lack of IT skills. These problems seriously hamper global engagement and impact the earnings of the employees. We address these shortcomings through engagement with students on the needs for continuous self-directed lifelong learning.
We also advocate strongly to provide continuous learning for working adults –executives, accountants, corporate and other senior officers through professional development programs.
We provide students and adult learners the opportunity to study through our flexible blended learning approach and for adults to enhance their professional development learning through online platform to fulfil their lifelong learning.

The program is focussed for working professionals who have practical experience in their fields and wish to advance their knowledge and achieve the highest-level postgraduate qualification.

Our DBA is split into two sections: taught component and research. In the taught component you will complete coursework on specialist business management topics. Subsequently you will undertake practical oriented research in the areas that fulfil the needs of industry.
This qualification will set you apart from other qualifications as you will be in the forefront in term of applying existing theories and knowledge to current business problems. Upon completion you will show significant improvement in your research, analytical and presentation skills that are valuable for career advancement in business and academics.
