FOUNDER CHAIRMAN

Dato’ Siew is the Founder Chairman of Genovasi University College; Executive Chairman of Ancom Nylex Berhad; Group Managing Director of Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad; and Executive Vice Chairman of Ancom Logistics Berhad.

Dato’ Siew received his secondary and tertiary education in the United Kingdom, first studying at Marlborough College from the age of 13 years before completing his tertiary education at Imperial College London. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and Master of Science in Operational Research at Imperial College, United Kingdom.

Dato’ Siew has extensive experience in the field of petrochemicals, accumulated over more than 30 years in the local and international sectors.

He was an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (“YPO”) from 1993 until 2006, serving as the Chairman of the Malaysian Chapter of YPO and Co-Chairman of the first Regional Conference in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. During his tenure as a member of the International Board of YPO from 2000 to 2003, he was Chairman of YPO’s Global Leadership Congress in Beijing in 2003. He was also a past President of the Imperial College Alumni of Malaysia and a past Governor on the Board of Governors of Marlborough College Malaysia.

PRESIDENT

Professor James Nga, the President of Genovasi has over 23 years’ experience in the managing the education institution. During his more than two decades of involvement in the Malaysian higher education, Professor Nga has been instrumental being part of the successful expansion and overall growth of a local college which was then upgraded to a university college and eventually, a full university status.

Professor Nga excelled in managing both the Academic and Non-Academic functions in the university and is heavily involved in academic research, university ratings and foreign institutions collaborations.

Presently, Professor Nga is the Visiting Professor at 6 Higher Education Institutions in the People’s Republic of China including Luoyang Normal University in Henan Province; Guangzhou City Polytechnic; Lingnan Institute of Technology; both in Guandong Province; HuaiHua University in Hunan Province; and HeZe Institute of Technology; HeZe University in Heze, Shandong Province; and Bharat University, Republic of India.

VICE CHANCELLOR

Professor Mohd Taipor Suhadah is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Genovasi University College. He has more than 30 years of experience in fields of education and training. Prior to joining Genovasi, Professor Mohd Taipor held several senior level positions in education and training including University Fellow of UUM, Chief Operating Officer of the MII, and Senior VP of ITTAR.

Professor Mohd Taipor holds DBA from UUM and MBA from Drake University, USA. He also holds professional qualifications in financial planning from Malaysian Financial Planning Council of which he is also a Fellow Member of the body.

Currently, Professor Mohd Taipor sits in the Board of The Academy of Risk Management Malaysia. His research interest are in risk management, insurance, and strategic management.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Dato’ Dr. Navin Nathan is an esteemed business professional with a diverse and accomplished career. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration and Finance from the renowned University of Northumbria, Newcastle. 

Beginning his illustrious career as an entrepreneur and economic consultant in the late 1990s, Dato’ Dr. Navin quickly established himself as a successful and respected figure in the business world. In 2006, he was appointed as a Committee Member of Finance for the Senate House, Kuala Lumpur (Kelab Senator Malaysia), where he contributed his expertise to financial decision-making processes.

Beyond 2015, Dato’ Dr. Navin assumed the role of Chairman, Economic Development of the Malaysia Economic Chamber of Commerce (Dewan Perniagaan Asia Pasifik), playing a pivotal role in fostering economic growth and promoting collaborations among businesses.

In 2018, he took on the esteemed Director of International Relations position at the Malaysia Economic Development Council. In this role, he worked diligently to build strategic relationships and facilitate international business opportunities for Malaysia.

Since 2020, Dato’ Dr. Navin has held the position of Director of International Relations & Strategic Investments at the Malaysia Economic Development Berhad & MEDB Capital Berhad. During this time, he successfully spearheaded numerous strategic investment initiatives, contributing to the growth and development of Malaysia’s economy.

Dato’ Dr. Navin currently holds the position of Deputy Chairman at Shah Bullion Trading, specializing in International Trading of Precious Metal, operating regionally and internationally across Asia and Africa regions. He also currently serves as a valued board member of Instrak Venture Capital Berhad, leveraging his extensive experience and expertise to guide the organization’s strategic direction and promote its success.

In the social circle, Dato’ Dr. Navin has contributed immensely as the Chartered President of the Rotary Club of Taman Tun Dr Ismail as well as a Committee Member of the Rotary Club of Putrajaya. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Rahman Putra. Dato’ Dr. Navin also spearheaded and underwritten scholarships to assist hard-core poor students through Edu Assist Foundation Malaysia as the current Managing Director.

Dato’ Dr. Navin Nathan’s exceptional educational background, coupled with his vast experience and accomplishments, positions him as a highly respected professional in the field of business administration and finance. His expertise in international relations, strategic investments, and economic development has significantly impacted Malaysia’s business landscape and continues to drive success in his current role.
